This is why we have created a checklist to help you create a roadmap to follow for a smooth journey leading to your wedding.

1.     The Starting Stage – More than 12 Months before

• Set up a budget – A realistic budget with your partner and both your families

• Book a venue – Consider location, capacity, weather and amenities

• Start forming the guest list – Keep in mind the venue capacity at this stage

• Broad Booking – Start finalising caterers, photographers and entertainment
  

2.     The Middle – 6-12 Months prior

• Finalise the Guest List – Start sending save the dates

• Finalise your outfits – Schedule appointments with boutiques and designers and start with your wedding outfits

• Decide a theme for the décor – Decide your vision for the décor and choose a theme, you can choose to consult with wedding planners

• Look Into the Legal Aspects – Ensure all legal marriage requirements are met
  

3.  The Final Weeks – 3 – 6 Months prior

• Finalise the Menu – Consider dietary preferences of guests

• Wedding Invitations – Start ordering and sending out wedding invites

• Honeymoon Planning – Start booking for your honeymoon as well

• Accommodation – For out of town guests, start booking hotels
  

4.  Almost There – 1 – 3 Months Prior

• Finalise all details – Confirm all bookings and details with the decorators, event planners and vendors

• Start any pre wedding beauty treatments or appointments if you want to have skin or hair related treatments

• Get a trail make up and outfit run to understand the comfort and final look

5.  The Big Day – The Last week

• Don’t take up last minute tasks for yourself, let your family and friends do the managing

• Relax and pamper yourself
